My name is Kathy. I have been an animal artist for more than 30 years. My goal as an artist is to design artistic garden decorations, that are truly heartfelt, and for you to only receive an art piece that you truly admire and cherish. I have been blessed with my gift to help others in their sorrow of losing a beloved pet, or even a special person in their life. The majority of my working talent is dedicated to angel animals, living or those precious beloved animals that have passed. I am truly grateful that I am here to be a vessel to honor & memorialize, and give tribute to those loving angels whom have shared an abundance of kindness, and love in our worldly existence.

At Garden Copper Art you can request an animal be designed as you wish, as an angel or non angel. A new design takes approximately 10 working days to complete, not counting shipping time. Please contact me if you would like to place a custom order.

♥ At Garden Copper Art you will find handmade pet memorials, angels, canine cuties, adorable felines, feathered friends, barnyard favorites, sea life animals, wildlife, and more designed in garden stakes, plant hangers, wind chimes and decorative hangers, and more.

♥ If you do not see a pattern available please look in my sold section; you may see one of your favorites that has sold recently that could be designed especially for you, and for an additional cost a name plate added. Estimated time for creating a design is two to three weeks. Please send me a message if you would like to place a special order. I do not charge up-front fees; when your order is complete I contact you, if you are pleased with the finished design you would at that time proceed to check out.

♥ For more than 30 years I have been exhibiting throughout the USA, now at the age of 75 years young I work from a small studio located in the Temecula Valley Wine County north of San Diego, California.

♥ This is my story, of my dream coming true ♥
In my early years I majored in art during high school where I enjoyed drawing animals and characters. When I graduated I was unsure of the path I wanted to follow to secure my future. I finally made a decision to attend beauty school where I realized I had artistic abilities, but I found that being a hairdresser was not the field that was going to lead me to my dream of being an artist, where my hands would turn into a magic wand.

After I married, my husband and I opened an automotive business, where I did accounting for several years. My mother was thrilled I was doing accounting as she was a CPA, but I was not fulfilled. Others that knew me well said I had the perfect life, a husband, children and a business, but for me something was missing, I was not content with my life. I kept faith that someday I would be lead to know where I could use my gift of being creative.

Than one day I found that a simple strand of electrical wire interested me. I began twisting wire and making jewelry and began doing art exhibits. My son and his wife, whom are also very artistic, went to visit a friend’s father-in-law who for fun made garden items from used copper. They began learning and drawing a few patterns and began working with copper. Not long after they began, they had the opportunity to move to Northern California and start another business, they no longer wanted to work with copper, and they did not enjoy the difficult task of hand cutting solid copper sheet metal.

I was always so fascinated with the process of changing the color of copper to all types of hues that I decided to begin a career in Garden Copper Art, I knew this was my dream come true just not my son’s. My artistic talents were in bloom, drawing patterns, cutting of the copper, making color changes, I was so excited and totally in love with what I was doing that I began exhibiting my Garden Copper Décor throughout the USA.

Never once in more than 30 years have I ever looked back and regretted picking up the first piece of copper. And now today at 70 years young I continue my love for art here on Etsy. Hearts are accented in most of my art pieces to express the love I feel for all of my customers and for the abundance of love we all feel for animals around the world. I am so grateful to Etsy for giving artists such as myself this platform to share my talent with you, I am truly blessed.
